Saint Laurent Bag Review

Since I was a teenager, I always had a love for European designers.  Since I fell in love with travel, I took a break on purchasing high end items. Flights became more important than bags and shoes to me. As time went on, I started to creep back to my first love of designer labels when I came across the new Saint Laurent collection. This brand wasn’t always a favorite of mine, but it really did grow on me this past year.

There is now something about the YSL brand that I absolutely love. It’s the simplicity and classic look that stands out without trying too hard for me. In my opinion, a lot of designers get too ‘logo happy’ with the products. But with YSL it’s just one logo, one name, one time and it still manages to stand out from afar. I really do believe that less is more and I feel like the designs represent exactly who I am. Here are a few of my recent Saint Laurent bags that I am loving.

Uptown Pouch:

The first item I found was the small black uptown pouch. This cutie was on sale for $228 from $445. Its durable and still fits a good amount of items such as my phone, credit cards, keys, etc. There was never a little black clutch that I didn’t love so this is definitely a keeper. The clutch is leather with a fold over top and magnetic closure. The measurements are as follows: 7.9 inches in height, and 5.9 inches in width. Get yours here.

Rive Gauche Tote Bag:

Did someone say luxury and sustainable ?! Sign me up please!. This beauty can pretty much fit my entire life and still have room left over. It was on sale for $738 from $1250 on Ssense and I simply could not pass it up. I’ve already used it as a personal bag for the airplane as well as a stylish day bag for island hopping. The dimensions of the bag are 18.5 inches in width, 13.8 inches in height and 6.7 inches in depth. So it is a fairly large tote thats perfect for carrying all of your essentials. There is also a small zip compartment that I use for my lipstick and my keys. Get yours here. It’s important to note that this back is a coated canvas material. So please be sure to avoid wearing it with dark denim as the color that transfer and leave permanent stains on your bag.

Lou Camera Bag:

My favorite type of bag right now is a cross body. Sometimes carrying totes in clutches in one hand can get annoying so I like the freedom that these things allow. What I love about the Lou Camera Bag is that it can be dressed up with heels or dressed down with sneakers / flats. The red was the perfect color to bring a bit of pop to my outfits. This beauty was purchased at the outlet in Woodbury Commons at $896 and retails for $1190. Get yours here. I love the security of the zip closure especially during my travels. The hanging tassle adds a great touch and of course the signature gold emblem. The back of the bag has a slip pocket in case you want to put something in there. I also love the card sleeves on the inside of the bag this way I can separate them from every thing else I am carrying. The dimensions are as follows: 7.1 inches in width, 3.9 inches in height 2 inches in depth and a strap length of 22.4 inches.

Mongoram Phone Holder Bag:

This bag fits a lot less things than the ones above, but style wise, it does the job! The phone holder bag holds a little more than my iPhone. i’m able to slide by ID and credit card in the back pocket and push a lipstick in the front next to my phone. I chose to get this bag in cream because I wanted a color I can throw on with anything and you should know I’m. sucker for the YSL logo plaque in gold. The measurements are as follows: 6.7 inches in width, 3.9 inches in height and 0.8 inches in depth. Additionally the length of the strap is 19.3 inches and it can also be word as a hand bag or clutch. Get yours here.

It’s safe to say that the simple, chic and classic look of Saint Laurent is here to stay and I will continue to add their pieces to my collection.
